COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT

HCRI The University of Manchester

  • Work with the Head of Operations & Partnerships and the Faculty and Communications Marketing team to support the development and delivery of communications plans related to HCRI’s portfolio, both internally and externally to raise HCRI’s international profile.

  • Develop communications for four key audiences:
    -Students
    -Staff
    -External Partners
    -General Public

  • Develop, produce and deliver HCRI’s newsletters for internal and external audiences.

  • Work with the Faculty Communications and Marketing team to write, create, edit and maintain interesting and informative content for both HCRI and University websites and other forms of corporate communications in line with the University’s branding and identity guidelines. This includes the production of HCRI’s policy brief series.

  • Coordinate the updating of publicity material, including programme brochures.

  • Responsible for updating all social media channels: Facebook, Instagram and X.

  • Involved in the creation of promotional materials for events and liaising with printers.

Carers Link Lancashire

  • Implemented and managed all digital and social media platforms across the charity including promoting and raising awareness of all aspects of the charity’s services and support, trading, and fundraising.

  • Pro-actively planned, organised, and implemented key campaigns throughout the year such as Carers Week, Carers Rights Day, and Young Carers Awareness Day.

  • Designed and published the charity’s 6 monthly magazine, monthly e-bulletins.

  • Organised and attended outreach and activities across the communities of East Lancashire to support in enhancing overall communications.
